Position Summary:


As the System Engineering Manager, you will oversee the entire System Engineering group and ensure the effective implementation of customer project requirements. You'll lead a cross-disciplinary team and make critical decisions on tools, methodologies, and technologies to meet project needs. Your role will involve operating within both the Vee and MBSE digital engineering paradigms, driving innovation and excellence in system engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:


- Supervise and mentor Systems Engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the full spectrum of system engineering activities, including requirements management, design reviews, and test and evaluation
- Develop and implement system engineering capabilities in key specialty domains
- Oversee the execution of system engineering products, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices
- Provide technical leadership and direction for complex engineering projects
- Participate in bid and proposal efforts, contributing technical expertise and cost estimations
- Foster a culture of excellence and innovation within the System Engineering group

Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 15+ years of experience leading engineering teams, with a focus on technology products and government contracts
- 10+ years of system engineering experience, including proficiency in MBSE tools and methodologies
- Excellent knowledge of system engineering standards and practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required

Desired:


- Advanced degree in Engineering or Systems Engineering
- Experience in hardware and software integration, robotics, or control systems
- Certification in Systems Engineering (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP)
- Familiarity with ROV and control systems
