Position: Senior Freedom of Information Officer

As a Senior FOI Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring National Highways meets its statutory obligations under the Freedom of Information Act [2000]. You will provide expert advice and guidance within the company on information disclosure matters and lead initiatives to enhance data transparency and ethical business behavior. - Promote the strategic direction of information rights, balancing corporate information protection with stakeholder accessibility.
- Support the development of information rights statutes and external standards to safeguard National Highways' interests.
- Maintain compliance with information rights legislation and monitor requirements recommended by the UK Government.
- Ensure equitable access to public domain information for all members of society.
- Develop information rights management systems in alignment with legislative and industry best practices.
- Demonstrable experience in handling and interpreting information rights legislation.
- Ability to deliver training and presentations to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in policy writing related to information rights and transparency.
- Experience in handling casework within tight timeframes.
- Academic achievement to degree level or equivalent.
- Qualification in information rights law desirable.
