About the Role:

As a Process Design Engineer at BP, you will play a key role in supporting and leading technical projects essential for sustaining BP's refining business and ensuring its competitiveness in a rapidly changing market. From integrity management to energy transition initiatives, you will be involved in projects aimed at enhancing process safety, regulatory compliance, and reducing environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development of technical and process engineering scope for projects during the Concept Development and Optimise stages.
- Support the identification, evaluation, and selection of safe, competitive, and robust concepts for project development.
- Own technical inputs for project-related activities such as cost estimates, scheduling, and HSSE studies.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external experts to ensure project success.
- Provide process engineering support and mentorship during project development and detailed engineering phases.
- Contribute to the development of process design guidance manuals and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a process engineer in design or operational roles.
- Exposure to early project development stages and engineering practices.
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

- Knowledge of refining processes and process simulation software.
- Familiarity with process safety engineering and other engineering roles.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships across diverse teams.

Salary and Benefits:

- Base salary range: $118,000.00 - $218,000.00 per year (estimated).
